EASY METHOD TO MEMORISE PUNJABI NUMBERS 1-100 I did a survey for our Sikh community to find out how many could remember Punjabi Numbers, and interesting enough 2 out of 3 people either do not know the numbers at all or struggle to remember it. I attended Punjabi/Gurmat school since young, and it was always motivating for me to be able to recite my numbers from 1 -100 and make my teacher proud of me. But in order to do so, I learnt to find a way to memorise it using sound. Actually, it is quite simple. Step 1: Memorise 1-10 and the tens- 10,20,30,40,50 etc Step 2: Pay attention to and memorise the end sound of the ‘tens’ – V ee , T ee , Cha lee , Pan jha Step 3: Combine the sounds of 1-10 numbers to the sounds of tens 1- Ik 2 - Do 3 – Tinn 4 – Chaar 5 - Panj 6 – Chey 7 -
