Law of Attraction

Law of Attraction

Vaheguruji ka khalsa, Vaheguruji ki fateh,

I have read and heard the Western perspective on law of attraction, but little did I know that my Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji actually spoke about it 500 years ago! How cool is that??

So, I started doing my research, started reading books, going on iGurbani app and typing the word 'attract', guess what, I found my answer. Why was I wondering elsewhere, when the answer was with me all the time?

Guru Sahib speaks about the connection between the thoughts, words and actions. And, like literally, we go through this almost everyday, where we would be thinking about something, and we constantly speak about it. For example, my mind is currently in a hurricane thinking about earning money, because I got to pay the bills! And, as conscious as I try to be, words slip out of my mouth to anyone dear to me, about me trying to look for a job. And guess what, my actions show it too. I open my laptop, type in the search engine, 'Jobstreet.com' and start my search for jobs. How crazy is this?

Then, I wonder, this means, this linkage between my thoughts, words and actions is the explanation to why I attract certain people or situations in my life!

Bhai Gurdas Ji says,

Man Bach Karam Karam Man Bachan Kai , Bachan Karam Man Ounamanee Chhaaee Hai |
With the harmony of actions, mind and words, the thoughts of the mind, the utterance of the words and actions performed are influenced.

Guru Granth Sahib Ji says,

Man Bach Kram Prabh Eaek Dhhiaaeae ||
One who meditates on the One God in thought, word and deed
Sarab Falaa Soee Jan Paaeae ||6||
- that humble being receives the fruits of all rewards. ||6||

Time to contemplate on my thoughts, words and actions. See you guys soon!!

Tankhanama: Who is a Khalsa? Do's and Don'ts for a Sikh and consequences faced with these actions

TANKHANAMA BHAI NAND LAL JI -  THE CODE OF DISCIPLINE BHAI NAND LAL JI Image 1: First part of Tankhanama Questions by Bhai Nand Lal Ji and Answers by Guru Gobind Singh Ji Note: Tankha = According to Mahan Kosh by Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha, Tankha means religious punishment given to a Sikh who has violated the rehat given by the Guru. Since Gurgaddi was passed to Guru Granth Sahib Ji, tankha is given by Panj Pyare in the presence of Guru Sahib, where a Sikh or an Amritdhari comes forward and admits his/her mistake done. The Panj Pyare will then collectively give a tankha, for a certain period of time, and the tankha varies from reading extra Bani daily, or doing sewa daily in the Gurdwara etc. The main idea through tankha is to reconnect us with Guru and Sikhi, and to remind us not to repeat the mistake.   Dohra Nand Lal asked, ‘O Guru, please tell me, Which actions are acceptable and which are not appropriate for a Sikh.1. Nand Lal! Listen to ...
