Mata Sahib Kaur Ji - Advice from one wife to another

Dhan Mata Sahib Kaur Ji-
Teachings from one wife to another.

I have wondered quite some time about my mother.
Someone who becomes the wife of my Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, cannot be just a normal woman,
She must be of some caliber, possessing good qualities, aura and energy that blends and align with my Father's.

What is in my mother? How great is my mother? I couldn't help but find out about her.

Mata Sahib Kaur Ji- there is a long history of her existence, and how she came about to meet Guru Gobind Singh Ji. All had been pre-planned by Ik, the Supreme One.

Mataji,
a daughter,
a wife,
a mother,
a devotee,
a friend,
a sister,
a leader,
an advocate,
a warrior,
a runner,
a servant,
a woman.

Mataji were the emblem of a soul bride (Sohagan, Gunvanti, Suchaji) as mentioned in Gurbani, for them, the world was Guru Gobind Singh Ji (Akal Purakh).

Mataji would never eat without having darshan of Pitaji.
Even after separation, she continued her devotion, by having darshan of Pitaji through shastars given by them.

As now I am a wife, I am learning from Mataji on how to perform my duties as a wife. A husband and wife are never separate, they are one. How is a wife supposed to be?, I asked.

She told me, that is a ghristi jeevan sometimes we forget the difference between love and attachment towards our husbands.

Love is an open palm, attachment is a closed fist.

Then I understood. I wasn't just a wife, I was a friend, advisor, caretaker, assistant, sous- chef and maid as well. But all these roles are necessary to maintain the masculine energy and roles of the husband.

The basis of a husband and wife relationship is respect, understanding and trust. Without these two, it becomes quite difficult to even execute roles of a woman and man in a household.

They alone are called husband and wife, who have one light in two bodies. ||3||

Mataji is the Aad Shakti of Akal Purakh (Guru Gobind Singh Ji). Mataji is inseparable from the Lord (Pitaji themselves), hence she is the creative Power of Them. And the Khalsa, is both the creation from Vaheguru, The Supreme Power (Akal Purakh - Masculine ) and the Adi Shakti (Creative Power- Feminine)

Adi Shakti is the embodiment of feminine energy, creation, completion and balance.

After Guru Gobind Singh Ji left this world, Mataji's world evolved around Shabad Guru Guru Granth Sahib Ji, and Shastars given by Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Her life was devoted into Bhagti. going into deep concentration of the one she loved. Akal Purakh. We must remember, that Aad Shakti and Akaal Purakh cannot be separated. They are one.

That is why I believe, that whenever Guru Gobind Singh Ji is present, Mataji will always be there too.

There is a special connection, a bond between daughters and mothers, just as there is between each daughter of Khalsa Panth and Mataji. She guides us, on how to serve the Panth, how to be prepared to accept Hukam, able to be emotionally stable when there is separation.

This path is not easy, and Mataji tells us that, but it is also not difficult to go through, provided we have chosen the right support.

Right support? Having support is good, but the best is having the right support. Miri and Piri are the only right support.

Mataji possessed both powers.

As a Kaur, we also must have both powers in us.

For me, Piri, comes from Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the Akaal Purakh, where I get my giaan, understanding of Self, Hukam, and Akaal.

Miri, comes from the Aad Shakti, Shastars that Guru Sahib has given to us. There are so many Baniaan in Sri Dasam Granth Ji that provides me with the Miri strength.

Mataji gives us necessary guidance in different stages of our life, and transition into a new phase of womanhood. Let's bring her into our lives, and allow her to guide us into becoming like her.
